1. Background

Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO) is committed to promoting robotics education, innovation, and STEM engagement among students across Bangladesh. Through training programs, competitions, and outreach activities, BdRO works closely with educational institutions, mentors, and stakeholders to build a strong robotics ecosystem.

To support the growing scope of activities and ensure effective coordination at both central and field levels, BdRO seeks to recruit a Part-Time Assistant Coordinator.

2. Position Information

  • Position Title: Assistant Coordinator (Part-Time)
  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Duty Station: Dhaka, Bangladesh
  • Working Area: Dhaka with field visits across Bangladesh
  • Duration: Part-time (with potential for full-time engagement based on performance)

3. Objectives of the Assignment

The Assistant Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of robotics education programs and events. The role aims to ensure effective coordination, stakeholder engagement, and smooth execution of BdRO activities and core BdOSN (Bangladesh Open Source Network) activities nationwide. 

4. Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

4.1 Training and Capacity Building

  • Conduct robotics training sessions for students, volunteers, mentors, and participants
  • Assist in developing training materials and session plans

4.2 Program Coordination and Implementation

  • Support the organization and execution of robotics events, workshops, and competitions
  • Coordinate field-level activities across different districts

4.3 Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and manage digital databases (quantitative and qualitative data)
  • Prepare event reports, progress updates, and quarterly reports

4.4 Logistics and Operational Support

  • Ensure logistical arrangements for training sessions, events, and field visits
  • Assist in resource planning and operational execution

4.5 Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, mentors, volunteers, students, sponsors, and partners
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support

4.6 Digital Communication and Outreach

  • Support social media management and online promotional activities
  • Contribute to increasing engagement and visibility of BdRO programs through digital platforms

4.7 Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the authority as required for program success

5. Deliverables

  • Successful completion of assigned training sessions and events
  • Timely submission of event reports and quarterly reports
  • Updated and well-maintained program databases
  • Effective stakeholder communication and engagement records
  • Contribution to social media outreach and online engagement

6. Required Qualifications

6.1 Educational Requirements

  • Undergraduate student or graduate in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline
  • Strong background in robotics (academic or practical)

6.2 Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in organizing STEM education programs, workshops, or competitions
  • Strong knowledge of robotics and ICT-based tools
  • Experience with data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Experience in social media management and online marketing is highly encouraged

  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good organizational and time management skills

7. Reporting and Supervision

The Assistant Coordinator will report directly to the designated BdRO authority or program lead and will work closely with the coordination and technical teams.

8. Employment Conditions

  • Employment Type: Part-Time
  • Compensation: Negotiable
  • Performance Review: Periodic evaluation based on assigned tasks and deliverables
  • High-performing candidates may be considered for full-time positions
