Project towards sustainable livelihood restoration for communities in flood affected remote rural areas.

This was 06 Months duration project on livestock support, funded by Hansalim and SDPI Islamabad started from February 2011. Through this 100 women widows will received one goat and one sheep each for restoration of their sustainable livelihood, in remote and flood affected villages of  Taluka Jati,   district Thatta Sindh

The objectives of this joint BDRO-Hanslim-SDPI collaborative project were to empower flood victims largely women and girls to realize their economic and social rights by providing them goats and sheep and also assisting them to reintegrate into society. This was expected to also raise community awareness and address issues of resettlement of flood victims through participatory approach
